Small Business Marketing

Queen Anne Painting has been painting homes in the Northwest for over 30 years. Bear Ideas initially ran a 3 month pilot program to explore search advertising as a source for new job leads. We have developed a content plan for SEO strategies, and continue to drive new leads through a very successful online advertising program. Our initial pilot program led to updating the web site, putting it on Drupal as the content management system.
Thinking a CMS like Drupal is overkill for these 20 page small business sites? The fact is we can built a site more quickly in Drupal than we could as static HTML. It then brings all the power of these tools to even the smallest businesses. Drupal is more than a CMS, or framework for development—its an excellent web marketing platform. It puts the power to message your business in your hands. You can build an online footprint as quickly as you can type, take advantage of SEO techniques, and generally control your web presence—and never need to talk to a developer to make a simple content change again.

Potter Construction Company was built from a one-man show in 1979 to an award-winning design/build company today. Bear Ideas is providing our online marketing "tune-up" package - a suite of marketing services for small business. This includes a new Drupal-powered web site, online ad pilot program, and search engine optimization.
There is significant use of jQuery throughout the site to rotate images and text. Also we built a mechanism in the Gallery section to support an unlimited number of testimonials. These include before/after images, testimonial statements from the owner as well as others involved in the project, and a photo gallery for each project.
Graphic design was done by Katie over at Dolejsi Design, and editorial services were provided by Lori at Hinton Creative.
The Creekside Center for Integrative Medicine, and Creekide Sleep Medicine Center have used Bear Ideas full set of web marketing services. We started with a revamp of the website, porting the existing design to Drupal so it could be managed by internal reources.
We then did an end-to-end review of content to optimize it for search, and built tools for a company blog that has evolved into a weekly podcast on a variety of integrative medicine topics. Finally, we ran a successful lead generation program using search advertising, driving 30-50 people each day researching integrative medicine in the Seattle and Bellevue area.
Hudson Valley Answering & Port Answering are two medical answering services located in New York. They needed to add blog functionality, and put up multiple sites based on the same theme for the various companies in this conglomerate.
The design needed to be clean, but not custom - so we started with their logo, and a stock theme. This theme was lightly customized, and that helped keep the project costs in check. The two sites were imagined, built and live in just a couple days.
